Voter ID - What's the Deal

What’s behind the hullabloo on Voter ID?
Is there ANY sensible, reasonable, argument against it?
ID is such a common thing/requirement that arguing against it seems inconceivable.
It won’t help to list ALL or even many places that ID is required today.
I smell something nefarious.
What could it be?
Our president (?)  said ………(8/21/10)
“The only people who don’t want to disclose the truth are people with something to hide.”
Truer words were never spoken.
So, ASSUMING voters have nothing to hide, they could not object.
Unless there was some other nasty impediment… like trying to stop them from voting!
Let’s look at that.
There are several arguments AGAINST ID…. Which “obviously” has ONLY one goal…. To deny voters their rights.
THAT is pure unadulterated cow methane…………..
The argument AGAINST ID is that it is too difficult to get.
THAT is pure unadulterated cow methane…………..
There are so many places that ID is “standard”…. Bank, plan, Rx, Car, Gun, etc.
I maintain there are few reasons for not getting ID…
·         Lazy
·         Something to Hide.
·         Too dumb
In either case, they should not vote.
It is also argued that vote fraud is almost non-existent… only a small fraction of a percent.
Who would miss them?
WHY grant such a small fraction of a percent of voters special privileges?
IF someone wants to commit voter fraud, why would they expose themselves to such a vulnerability; especially when a (fake) ID is so easy to obtain.  There is a very famous case rampant in America today and it has caused lots of grief!
I maintain that the argument is grounded in
·         A desire to garner extra votes… from illegal or dumb.
o   Illegal or dumb voters do not advance America
·         A desire to divide America; to create class warfare.
The REAL problem with NO ID is that it opens the floodgates to voter fraud.
Without Id there is no verification.
There is no way to stem fraud before it happens
…. and, as we have so sadly seen, fixing it later is almost impossible !

So, just ZIP it…..
GO WITH VOTER ID!
What do you think?
